These terms are the agreement between you and Cartpath for using the Cartpath app. By signing in, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Cartpath.
Who can use Cartpath
You need to be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. Your account is for you alone, and you're responsible for what happens on it.
Your content
The rounds, rankings, notes and photos you post are yours. So that Cartpath can work, you give us permission to store them, show them to the friends you share them with, and make the copies and smaller versions needed to do that. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we have to keep to handle a report or to comply with the law.
Only post photos you took or have the right to share, and think twice before posting a photo of someone who hasn't agreed to it.
Community rules
Cartpath has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive people. Don't post or send anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
- promotes hate or violence against people because of who they are;
- is sexually explicit, or shows nudity;
- is spam, a scam, or misleading;
- shares someone else's private information;
- pretends to be someone you're not;
- infringes someone else's rights, or is otherwise illegal.
Also don't try to break, overload or get around how Cartpath works, or to reach information that isn't yours.
Reporting and removal
You can report any round, photo or profile from inside the app. We review every report within 24 hours. If something breaks these rules, we remove it, and we suspend or remove the account that posted it. Reports are private: the person you report isn't told who reported them.
Everything in Cartpath is shared between friends, so if you don't want to see someone's rounds, or them to see yours, remove them as a friend from their profile. Once you've removed someone, your old invite links stop working for them; if you ever want them back, send them your link again.
Course information
Course details, locations, scorecards, ratings and weather come from many sources and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. They're there to help you plan, not to rely on — check with the course before you go, and always make your own judgement about weather and safety. If you spot a mistake, report it in the app and we'll fix it.
Other services
Cartpath uses services from other companies, including Apple's maps and weather. Your use of them through Cartpath is also subject to their terms. We're not responsible for services we don't run.
Ending things
You can stop using Cartpath and delete your account at any time, in the app under Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or put other golfers at risk, and we may change or stop offering parts of Cartpath.
The legal part
Cartpath is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Cartpath isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or rounds, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Apple
These terms are between you and Cartpath, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to it. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund what you paid for it (if anything); beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and aren't on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Cartpath after a change means you accept the new terms.
